We have benefited tremendously since our involvement in the initial e-citizen proof of concept project our 'factsonline' project has never looked back. The project that started as a pilot in our Social Services Department has resulted in now being rolled out across all our services..
Mike Chambers, Deputy Chief Executive
The Council was fortunate in being invited to co-ordinate two proof of concept pilots concerning our fact sheet pilot in our Social Services Department. One was targeting women 35+ and the other our intermediaries in social care.
Our experience was nothing but a positive one and we now have some strong market research evidence on two of our citizen segments, a great branding design that we are using and we know what promotional vehicles work.
The saying that actions speak louder than words is certainly true in this case. After the marketing campaign in January 2005 our usage figures increased and continued to grow for several months.
Market research before the campaign gave us a pretty good indication of what was needed to be done. After the campaign the focus groups from our female target audience and feedback from our intermediaries gave us a strong endorsement that we should evaluate the way we produce information across the Council and implement the "factsonline" project across the Council.
